I had a lucid dream a few nights ago and it was the first one I had had in a long time. It got me thinking as I used to experience lucid dreams fairly regularly in my twenties and thirtees. To clarify, a lucid dream is not just the kind of dream which feels especially powerful or real. Lucid dreaming is a state in which you become aware you are asleep and due to that awareness the dream becomes intensely vivid, immediate, and way more real than your regular dreams. They can be mind blowing. And once you become lucid, you can control the direction your dream takes if you want to. And potentially redirect any nightmares, by confronting your fears.

This latest lucid dream began with me sitting on the floor in my front room just waking up from sleep, to find a woman sitting on the sofa opposite me. I felt exhausted. This woman was somebody I have only interacted with online. Another woman then appeared, blond or white haired and she was also familiar to me, although I don’t know who she is. I offered to make tea and went into the kitchen. When I picked up the kettle I noticed that it was a strange hour glass shape. It wasn’t my kettle. I have never seen a kettle that shape. This alerted me to the fact I could be dreaming so I told the two women we must be in a dream. Immediately there was this loud crackling and then a sudden very loud bang reverberating all around me and it exploded me into some kind of new clarity. An extremely clear, present and powerful dimension. A loud voice boomed out telling me :

‘You are a miner shaman. You have full shamanic status’

This freaked me out. There were more loud voices and commands instructing me and letting me know about my powers. Because I was fully lucid it felt very real and it was a transforming experience.

The women had gone from my awareness just before the crackling and bang. At some point (and I am not sure if it was before the women were in my house or after they had gone) , I heard a noise coming from outside. I looked out the window and my car had gone but there was an estate car there that was the same blue colour as my car, but it was parked the wrong way round.

I woke up before I had any opportunity to control the direction this lucid dream took. In the past I have taken control of my dreams whilst lucid. There was a recurring dream I used to go into, where I would wake up in my room, but everything would be subtley different. Perhaps a vase would be appear to be in the wrong place, or a picture moved slightly on the wall. The light would be off and I leave it on so I would fumble for the lamp switch to turn it on but on flicking the switch nothing would happen. That would scare me and although it was of course possible a fuse/bulb had blown, the subtle differences in the room, and the lamp failure would alert me to the fact I must be dreaming. Once lucid, knowing I was free to control the dream and do anything I liked, I would often decide to fly and would leap straight from the bed and smash through the window (a move which in reality would have been impossible for me as the bed was not near the window) . I was in a squat on the 10^th floor of a south London tower block at the time and so smashing through the glass and flying was an exhilarating experience.

I did some brainstorming to interpret this recent lucid dream with the kettle and voices. The method I usually use is to take each piece of dream imagery and then use word association to ascertain which words come to mind. I do not edit at all so the first thing that comes to mind gets written down. THis is important as it is necessary in interpreting dreams to let go of the rational thinking mind so that the subconscious associations can be discovered.

And also The Fool

The Hermit and The Fool are both part of the Major Arcana in the Tarot, the hermit being humility and receiving wisdom from above (sophia). and the Fool being the card of the dreamer, the need to make a choice/take responsibility/new beginnings. I think that both cards came up shows that I am at once both like a newborn who knows nothing, but also a very old soul who has a wealth of experience. Perhaps I have learned all I can on one plane and have now begun the real journey. The Hermit holds the lamp of truth with the six pointed star , the seal of solomon.

The Fool card indicates the will or life force just before it steps out into manifestation The little dog at his heels shows that nature is happy to align itself with man and my association in this context was that it was telling me be a faithful dog to the universe. Keep trusting nature. What stood out is that being in the moment is key. No need for hesitation, cease procrastination. The noise outside the window I linked with justice/ justice of the peace/law/Lucy Letby/light/Beltane/no. 5/5th/harmony. I had a sense that the lucid dream could have a connection with sacred geometry. And I knew I had to go deeper.

In the Qabala the fool on the Tree of Life is represented by the first sephira known as Kether or Keter which corresponds to the Hebrew letter Aleph. The fool represents path 11 which is the path linking Kether with Chokmah /Hochmah, the second of the sephiroth on the Tree of Life. Chokmah is primordial male and is on the Pillar of Mercy on which lies the three sephiroth on the right of the diagram below.

I took my association regarding ‘justice of the peace’ to mean the Justice card in the tarot, this is key 11. It is also the 22^nd path on the tree of life and 22 = 2 x 11.

So there are more than one way in which this dream is indicating 11. Lucy Letby coming up is of course linked with both miscarriage of justice and light (her name means ‘Let there be Light’). I have covered this in this article What's in a Name . Beltane/5 harmony probably is linked to 5^th May (old or real Beltane as I have talked about in connection with Letby case Letby symbolism - medieval links? Beltane is fire, clearing the old and bringing in the new. The imagery of me entering the kitchen in my dream was linked by my mind as ‘ jumping in the fire/facing the heat’. The hour glass shape kettle I associated with boiling and red and infected/pus/woman I used to work with/fat/youth/military/hate. Pus is a sign of healing because it shows the body is trying to fight an infection. If I am starting a new journey then this could be in a way facing the fire. Fire is cleansing. The woman I worked with was a woman who caused a great deal of trouble in my life. The fact that youth, military and hate came up is probably my subconsicous linking to the time when I was 14 years old and I was raped in the grounds of a school at night by a guy who was in the military. With the huge bang after this imagery and the strange kettle gone from the dream, all this past damage which trapped me in repeated patterns of destruction for years was blown away.

Minor shaman my mind linked with Alpha Minoris Ursa which is Polaris (the current Pole Star). So any powers I have been given are emanating from there. Ursa Minor is ‘the little bear’ . Full shamanic status brought up stuff to do with inner core, humility, honesty. Fruit came up too and ‘forbidden’ – so forbidden fruit. Also leeches which historically were used to bleed wounds and fight infection. So there is a link to Genesis (begin again) and original sin. The little bear is no surprise. Over the last ten years or more I have experience many bear signs and have written articles on the significance of the bear in symbology as an antichrist symbol. The Bear and The Anti-christ and Paddington in Peru . So this was a message to me to watch out for the antichrist of our age.

Given we are bang in the middle of UN Agenda 21/30 and the cult have finally begun their war on Iran which has been planned for over twenty years, and that we are seeing passages in Revelation deliberately played out, , the antichrist will be appearing to us one way or another. Revelations has repeated throughout the great year (the precessional cycle of 25, 920 years). There are various claims as to what or who the antichrist will be. The word ‘revelation’ stems from ‘re velare’ - I believe the prefix ‘re’ is originally derived from ‘Re’ the Egyption sun god so it is a prefix which indications ‘again’ as the sun comes up again every day. ‘The meaning of ‘velare’ is veil. So you could take this as meaning ‘sunning the veil’ - ie throwing light on it /uncovering/revealing. However you could also take re-velation as meaning ‘again veil’ ie cover again. Which of course would mean another cover up. THe Hebrew word for revelation would probably be Chazon (vision) but if you look at one of the possible Hebrew original manuscripts of the book Revelations , it is entitled ‘Ele Ha-Sodot’ , which means Confidential Counsels (ie secrets). Hebrew Book of Revelations Always remember the both old and new testament are written in code and word play.

Revelation 13:18: This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.

The number 666 in Hebrew gematria most likely referred to Roman emperor Nero. He was known as Neron Kasair or Neron Caesar.. Nrwn Qsr is the way it was written without vowels. Using the absolute method in the Hebrew gematria tables I have checked and this does add to 666. Another possible spelling is slightly shorter as Nrw Qsr and this adds to 616 which is a number noted to be the beast in some early handwritten Hebrew manuscripts.

Early catholic writers on the apocalypse cited Nero as the beast, and by extension Rome. But who would be the antichrist today? It is the number of man. Some people think it will be digital ID and perhaps that would fit if man is chipped.

Before latin, the bible was originally translated into Greek and there are two Greek words in the new testament that add up to 666:

1. Paradosis: (tradition, order, or handing down of property). So the opposite of chaos. This word is used 13 times in the New Testament. Matthew 15:2 . Since entropy is the move towards disorder/chaos, paradosis would be a move towards order. A reversal of time. Back to the Golden Age? In other words it is a place we have been before. El Dorado

2. Euporia: (wealth/prosperity) - Acts 19:25

It interests me that the word Euporia is derived from making silver shrines (idols to Artemis). Artemis is of course the moon goddess (also known by other names including Diana) and right now we have NASA mission ARTEMIS II. NASA claim their astronauts have just orbited the moon . The 1969/72 so called moon landings were faked in my opinion, as the claimed broadcast from the moon was almost certainly filmed in a studio, probably by Stanley Kubrick. What they are really doing now, I don’t know. They haven’t claimed to land but it is interesting the choice of name if 666 has a connection to the moon goddess Artemis .

The shadow that has to be incorporated in rebirth. This feminine. This dark side. Is woman the antichrist of man? Adam'/Eve. The meaning of Adam as the first man is derived from ‘earth’. Eve/eventide of course means at night. The dark side of the earthman.

I wondered if I could link the numbers which came up in the dream with sacred geometry of music. They were

1, 2, 5, 6, 11, 22

I drew a zodiac wheel assuming 12 at the top like a clock and overlaid it with the cycle of 5ths. I used only the chords/scales or their related minor key in those positions. I put Virgo at the top to represent the C position as spring in the golden age. So christ is at the bottom in the dark ages as pisces fish alongside Aquarius. I marked the planet connected with each constellation and the colours on the circumference are the colours that represent that sign.

I spent some time recently in Morocco and I made a video of my travels here … Rolo solo round Morocco

I was interested to see how much Maroc had changed since the 1980s and the one thing that struck me above all else, was the way the women were so much more confident and outgoing. No longer are most women in the cities wearing the hijab and niqab or yashmak, their faces are mostly uncovered and they are happy to chat in public.Especially the younger women. That was not the case in the 1980s. Women did not engage in conversation on the street back then.

I took the boat from Tarifa in Spain to Tangier. Last time I was in Tangier you had to have your wits about you. This time it felt much safer. I stayed a couple of days there, then got on the train to Meknes, but just after boarding realised I had lost my phone. A moroccan woman on the train grabbed me and literally sprinted along the platform with me trying to keep up, but we could not locate the phone so we had to dash back to catch the train which was just leaving. This lady was with her family and they went out of their way to help me. Amazingly after an hour or so and several phone calls, they located my phone. Turns out I had left it in the toilets at Tangier station and one of the cleaning ladies had found it and handed it in. They advised me to get off at the next station, which I did, a small market town called Souk El Arbaa. It was evening then and I wandered around the souk as I had a three or four hour wait to catch a train back to Tangier that night so I could retrieve my phone. I was so grateful for the kindness and assistance given to me by that lovely family. When I arrived back at Tangier station everything was closed , so I had to stay another night there and then go back to the station in the morning where, to my relief, they had my phone. I went to the ladies to give some money to the cleaning ladies to thank them for their honesty in handing my phone in.

A couple of days later when I finally arrived in Meknes (with phone) it turned out to be a beautiful city.

I visited the Museum of Music . Many of the instruments were early 20th century and the museum highlighted the cultural evolution of music and musical instruments in Morocco.

From Meknes it was only half an hour to get to the holy town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun which is sacred to sufis and is a kind of mini moroccan equivalent of Meccah

The guy on the right in the picture is playing a guembri, also known as a hajhouj or sintir. It is like a cross between a lute and a percussion instrument. It is not an easy instrument to play. I brought one home with me from Morocco in the 1980s and I still have this instrument and still have not learned to play in properly. On the left you have the krakeb (metallic castanets).

Gnawa (or Gnaoua) people are an ethnic people who inhabit the Maghreb originally black slaves from west Africa. Their music reached Morocco via the trans-Saharan trade routes . The sounds are hypnotic and influenced by sufi mystical practices although the gnaoua have no sheikhs. Gnaoua music is effectively trance music and this plays a big part in the Lila ritual which is a major tradition for the Gnawa people. l’Muqaddima is the female organiser and host of the gathering , and can be seen as someone who can help those who believe they have been badly affected in their lives by djinn. She is supposed to guide participants through l’hal’ (state of trance). She cleans the space with herbs, candles etc. and recitations. There is also a (usually male) musical leader called a Maalem.

The ritual begins at night (lila is an arabic word meaning ‘night’) with a sacrifice , often a black goat. It is in two parts and the first part is called – Oulad da Bambara (sons of the bambara) This is about african history, slaves and suffering. The bambara are an ethnic group of Mali and many of the gnaoua are also bambara. The next part of the ritual involved invoking mluk. Mluk are a category of djinn, the word being derived from the arabic ‘maluk’ which translates to king or owner. These are possessing spirits. There are seven colours that enter into this experience and each one has its own mood/music/incense associated with it and a different spirit is invoked. Red for example involves blood and knives. Blue involves water. This tradition is really a culmination of the mixing of Gnawa culture and practices with Amizigh (berber) influences and Sufi spiritual practice. People get up and sway/dance and become possessed by their spirits and it is important that they propitiate whichever spirit is possessing them . It is not like in the west where a possessed person might seek exorcism from a priest to rid themselves of demons. There is no exorcism in a lila ritual . Once someone has invoked a spirit they do not leave , they are there to stay and need to be appeased as such. This is not a good versus evil situation. Its not angels and demons in the christian sense. Mluk have free will as they are djinn, so some mluk are more challenging than others and the person has to be able to somehow integrate this. Much of this process is about forgiveness. And being cleansed, freed of afflictions. I can see parallels with the process that is known in the west as incorporating one’s shadow. I have been undergoing that process myself and it is a necessary process . Lately I have had no choice in the matter. I have written about my possession before in a previous article Demons from the Depths and how I have practised music therapy myself so that I could eventually get off medication as this is a spiritual problem, not a medical one. The Gnawa understand the spiritual aspect of wellbeing and they use music naturally in this context because they understand these spirits need to be negotiated with. I never understood this when I was younger and I continually fought against them. What I have discovered is that the demonic realms and the control system of the regime we are forced to live under (now a global tech totalitarian dictatorship) are one and the same. This is why we are seeing a massive explosion on the internet of people discussing narcissism which is itself a condition of the control system. People are seeing the effects of this control far more directly as it spits itself out through social media platforms. These types of personality completely deny their shadow and cannot integrate hence they have to dominate others who show real emotion or empathy, simply devouring them.

Essaouira is full of tourist these days, but still has a great vibe to it, and musicians still flock there.

From Essauouira I took a bus and shared cab to Taroudant in the Souss valley. This is an an impressive walled medina , still the real traditional Morocco, with great souks full of real Amizigh (berber) crafts people making genuine leather goods, silver , gold jewellry etc. and selling them from their own workshops. It is not touristy and I saw very few westerners there.

Next I took a shared cab to Talouine in the foothills of the Anti Atlas mountains. (a distance of over 100km but only costing equivalent of about 8 euros ) This is the home of saffron and even more real Morocco.

Towards the end of my trip I visited the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou . The buildings are of mud/earth clay and the ancient Kasbah is a site where many well known productions have been filmed , like Game of Thrones and Jesus of Nazareth. I came across some really amazing Amizigh craftsmen and artists there.

After leaving Ait Benhaddou I took a bus through the Atlas mountains via the Tigi Tichka pass back to Marrakech.

Before I left Marrakech, I took a three hour walk through suburbs and on route visited a couple of the holy sites (zawiyas) of the seven saints (sacred to Sufis), the zawiya of Sidi Bel Abbas and mausoleum of Sidi Abd el Aziz Tebbaa

The spiritual, musical , sociable and street life vibe is still very alive in Morocco despite the fact most people there now seem to have smartphones. I really hope they maintain this tradition rather than allowing the smartphone to suffocate humanity as it has done very effectively in Europe. Time will tell.

Elsa’s sipping coffee at the cafe on the corner watching people pass the time of day

A track I wrote and produced as background music for a show called ‘Thought Tension’ which explored the purposes behind the human tendency to box, label, categorise, both in terms of the mind and associated maladies, but also in a more general sense. This was part of a theatre project called ‘Don’t Mention the Gorilla’, where people with mental health issues attempted to counteract social stigma

I wrote and recorded this song about 16 or 17 years ago inspired by both my own experiences and those of a friend, Carrie, who was on the game and who has since died from an overdose.

Don’t read this if you have never felt desperate.

Sometimes music is the only answer. I am a writer too, but there is this problem with writing . It can become like a sledgehammer, crushing your skull. And it can fuel the anger.

Why does writing become possession -  like some kind of stupid addiction, keeping you away from food, from going when you need to go, from the very air you need to breathe? Why does it feed only itself while you are starved of the light?  I used to think writing was therapeutic but I got that wrong.  It might be beneficial to write a few swear words instead of smacking yourself, or the nearest punchbag, but if it involves thinking it’s counter-productive.

It’s not the word itself that is the issue.  In the beginning was the word, and that sound becomes increasingly dense until it falls into actual stuff.  That stuff includes me. 

 So I am a word. I kind of know which one as well.  In fact I am three words

 ‘FOR FUCK’S SAKE’.  

That is the trinity and it is why some people think god is within.  God is hell and hell is heaven and its all the same thing.  The more you try and keep the other out, the more it invades until you realise you are ‘the other’ and that’s that whole Christ thing and it’s what the mushroom is telling us.  And also the plant kingdom. You don’t see plants screaming and fighting that often - they don’t lose their temper because they’re not trying to be something they’re not.  As human beings, we have the disadvantage of being born into a cult which uses all forms of media to imprison us. It is so insidious that in actual prison I felt freer than I had ever felt in the outside world ,and I came to understand that it was because there was no choice. Too much choice is a prison in itself. 

The media controls our perception by throwing images and messages at us which are endlessly contradictory and designed to confuse.  That puts you in a ‘double bind’, and just like bad parenting, it screws you.  It is paralysing. It’s all about them.  Have you noticed they tell you all about they themselves and them. All the time.  It’s never about you, or your friends or family, or anything you care about particularly. It’s their interests, their agenda , their news but they sell it as ‘the news’, as if it’s relevant to you.  It’s not.  It’s just the controlling narcissistic parent trying to dominate your whole being till you suffocate.  

You can switch it off. That’s great.  Bye bye.  But then you walk out the door and their agents are everywhere. 

STOP, GO, GREEN, RED, WALK, DON’T WALK, THINK, DON’T THINK, GO SLOW, FAST LANE, NO SMOKING, NO ALCOHOL. DOGS ON LEADS, NO IRISH , NO CHILDREN , KEEP OFF THE GRASS, NO BALL GAMES, NO CAMPING, NO FIRES, NO LOITERING, NO ENTRY, NO RUNNING , NO SWIMMING, DANGER DANGER DANGER DANGER - HEY SEE KEEP OUT - CONSUME, OBEY, GET IN LINE … 

There’s an old film called ‘They’.   This guy finds a pair of glasses and when he puts them on he sees reality.  It hits him . It’s all around him in flashing beacon neon lights. Signature marks of the demon cult control system. Those shadow entities that operate on the lower demonic frequencies running the puppet show and sucking out all your energy until they’ve one hundred percent disempowered you.  IF there is anything left of you they will use people around you to trick you so you can’t trust anyone. And when they’ve finished slamming doors, cutting off every lifeline that you might have had left, it leads to social isolation and exclusion.

Isolation is a shortcut to chaos, but chaos comes to us all anyway.  I thought that if I gave into chaos I would be less angry but it requires total letting go. There must be not one single little piece of control left.  If you are hanging onto any tiny thread of your existence it will create fury. You can’t worry that you are living in a pigsty.  You just have to get down and wallow in the mud and spread it further. The demons will be reminding you of the washing up, but you must get comfortable with piles of crap in the sink and over all the work surfaces. Art and cleanliness don’t mix well, so it’s better to just confront what it is about filth that is bugging you in the first place.  It only gets unhealthy if there’s no fresh air, so you can live in a pig sty and open the windows and its okay.  Having an incontinent dog is probably a healthy extra because urine has healing properties when it gets old. 

Every now and then I have made a point of just giving in to chaos but obviously I didn’t give in enough because the rage is infinite.  It’s been exploding out in all directions again lately,  and one thing I know is that it’s better to stick to music in those circumstances but within limits.  I have neighbours.  So I decided yesterday to do an experiment on  frequencies to help dissipate my rage.  I have previously written about how I used certain musical frequencies to help myself here Music As Medicine

Usually I can’t play the piano if I am violently angry because I will break the piano, I have done before.  And banging on the piano leads to neighbour problems.  Guitars are throwable, so if it’s gone past a certain level, that’s not an option and that was the case yesterday.  I had to wait till I had got at least a minimum level of control to sit down and see what I could do with working through anger on the keyboard. I got it down to  gritting my teeth point and the recording I have embedded above is where I went with it. ‘D’ seemed to be the note of anger and ‘F sharp’ featured quite a bit.I have had to edit it down because it was really long and the beginning would have been too drawn out and painful to listen to.  If the beginning grates too much, fast forward to where it begins to resolve and calm.

It worked.  Music is magic. 

I rarely know what I am angry about.  But that is what is great about music therapy.  You don’t need to know.  And nor do you need to apologise for your anger.  It merely means you are alive. As Dylan Thomas put it:

Circles and squares surround us on earth, in the heavens and in symbolism. Circles are endless and squares are so bloody normal that we probably don’t notice them that much.  They are just there.  But who really is the square and would she/he want to be a circle?  

The carpenter’s square, that L shaped thing that you were given in maths class along with a pair of compasses, is Norma. In astronomy she resides in the southern skies as a constellation which looks like a sort of sort of square bathtub. Next to her is Circinus (the pair of compasses).

Norma’s got some credentials, being surrounded by Lupus (the wolf), Scorpius (the serpent/eagle and Ara, the Altar of Zeus which is also known as the incense burner.

Norma in Latin means both square and standard or rule (the norm). In English we derive our most meaningless word from it. No brownie points for guessing that word is ‘normal’. In Chinese the square and compass is called ‘Kuci chu’ which means ‘the way things should be’ (whatever that is). In American slang squares are a bit  dull and ultra normie. Elvis sang about it. When the warden threw a party at the county jail he made it clear he wasn’t having squares around :

‘… hey buddy don’t you be no square

if you can’t find a partner use a wooden chair ..  .

The facts speak for themselves.  Squares are a pain up the posterior because they don’t fit in round holes.  

Why though? Round pegs in square holes don't seem to be much of a problem. They just slot in, no fuss, cutting the corners. But squares are a total pain.  They stubbornly keep their ninety degree angles and that is a major problem for circles.

So why can’t we square the circle?   It is an age old quest and people have been attempting ‘de quadrature circuli’  since at least the middle kingdom in Egypt when the scribe Ahmes produced the ancient Rhind Papyrus. Later squaring the circle became a problem for Greek civilisation to not solve properly.  I am not supposed to say that because in the West we are required to believe the Greeks invented pretty much everything, despite the fact that they didn’t.

Squaring the circle means attempting to construct a square with an equal area to a given circle. Today we use Pi (the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter) to get as close a value as we can, but this is not accurate and Pi is not resolved. It has seemingly infinite decimal places:

I believe attempts to square the circle are futile, as Pi is unlikely to ever resolve.  The efforts are based on a misunderstanding of the nature of the circle.

Lets say you need to get from point A to point B  as the crow flies.  On a globe, for anywhere other than the poles, that means you need to mark out a trajectory on a curved surface. That will be continuous with no change of direction as below:

Travelling east or west, when you get to point B, if you carry on in the same direction you will eventually find yourself  back at point A. So by continually travelling in the same direction, you go nowhere.  You are back at square one (no pun intended).

However for everyday purposes we do not need to factor in the curve if we are using small distances.  So  A to B  can just be figured as

If when you get to point B,  you decide you, say need some toblerone, and thus head to shop at C to buy some, and then want to return home to point A to eat your toblerone, you have to change direction twice.  You have travelled  in a triangle.

Now let’s say, before you return home to A,  you decide that despite having your toblerone on you, you need a good square meal and there’s a pub at point D. You will need one more change of direction and you will have travelled in a square.  That’s 3 changes of direction.

The way we can recognise that we are travelling in a square shape is simply by the changes of direction at 90 degree angles.  These changes of direction come in fits and starts. They take time and waste energy. Continuous travel in a circle is more streamline. More economical  You can enclose more space with less effort. Cut out all the stops. This has real world uses.  Say you are in a dispute with the neighbours over land and you want to grab as much as you can,  you will get a bigger plot if you make your fence circular.  To enclose a square plot of land, just as large, you would need more fencing. 

But no matter what size you make your square plot of land, it will never be exactly the same area as the circle. The question is why?  If you stake out your fence in a square, why can’t you enclose an area which is as great as the area you would get if you made the fence a circle?  Why can you not have your cake and eat it?  Why can’t a square be a circle?

Is it a man woman thing? As Professor ‘enry ‘iggins lamented:

Why can’t a woman be more like a man? Men are so honest, so thoroughly square ….

It’s more like man is missing the point. While he is concentrating on squaring the circle,  he is trying to define continuous change by interruptions.  If you draw a circle on a piece of paper with a compass your pencil is smoothly and continually changing direction without any need to stop, reverse, or slow down before returning to source. There is just one line.  A square has four intersecting lines. There are abrupt and severe interruptions to direction in the form of angles.  So squaring the circle is defining something by what it is not. It is an attempt to stuff a shape formed by starts and stops into a continuous smooth whole process. It’s like having to utter the eternal sound ‘ Ooooooohm’ with a stutter. 

‘Uh …uh ..uh…….O …. o …  o   .…… u h …... m … um uh… uh …um ………er …   

It doesn’t work. It’s like trying to define water by its ‘dryness’.  It’s all pre-frontal cortex. It’s the Hadron particle collider mentality.  The same kind of mind that pursues the goal of finding the smallest possible particle by making the blasts bigger and bigger.  The mind that misses the wood for the trees.

Archimedes is usually cited as the hero of squaring circles. The claim is that although you can't do it with a square and compass you can draw fancy spirals and right angled triangles and this solves it.  It doesn’t though.  It is merely an assumption since you aren’t gonna find the area of a triangle with pi.

Even modern computers have not been able to resolve the problem.  Back in 1882 a French  guy, Von Lindemann, showed that pi is transcendental. What he meant by that was that it is impossible to draw a line of length ‘pi’. In fact is we don’t actually  know what the area of any circle is and can only approximate with pi multiplied by the radius squared.

But why did anyone use the term squared to measure the area of a circle?  After all squared means what it says on the tin. Squared.  If I take 120 wooden stakes which I could space out at one foot intervals as a circular plot. What is the point with fluffing about with pi and measuring the circle in ‘x’ amount squared?  Surely the measure should be ‘x’ amount ‘circled’?  I could measure the perimeter of my plot and define the space enclosed as 120 ft circled.

What’s wrong with that? We don’t try and define the measurement of squares in circles, so what’s the deal with spending thousands of years trying to define circles in terms of squares?

In nature the shortest point from A to B looks to us like a straight line (the sun’s rays, the spider’s silk) and there are what appears to be straight lines in nature, for example the edges of crystals.  However when it comes to enclosed spaces nature prefers curves.  Rain lives in cloud-shaped houses which morph into different shapes.  When they venture out into raindrops they also morph and change shape.   Modern man has for some reason developed a tendency to build his nest with straight lines forming box rooms. Not that many people choose igloos these days and most people don’t wanna go back to being cavemen.

But at least caves aren’t boxes.  Box rooms do not feel natural, because mother nature tends to work in curves, foxes and badgers don’t make square holes, moles don’t pile their earth in cubic mole hills.  Trees don’t grow one hundred percent straight like rigid telegraph poles.  

Living in a box is not conducive to great mental health, some would rather live on the streets than in four walls. Baroque and gothic architects understood  the importance of harmonics in building and this has been forgotten in modern structures. The same harmonics that apply in music , also apply in gothic churches and cathedrals. Looking at modern ‘affordable housing’  it seems to have got stuck in the military march which is probably the most tedious and unenlightening form of music.  It is  too even, too exact, too square. The epitome of conformity. Norma. Never misses a beat. Reliable though. You can fix your widescreen TV flush to the wall. Contrast that with the lazy sound of jazz floating freely on the evening breeze. That’s your spooky castle , the kind of venue you come across in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.  Not so reliable. Anything can happen. 

Looking at why the musical March has such a boring feel, it is not due to the repetition.  Both boring tunes and exciting tunes have repetition.  Repetition is really what makes a song. But exciting  or interesting has a more diverse pattern.   The nature of the pattern creates the melody and rhythm.  And how those patterns are layered (or how they relate to each other) is what increases the level of interest (harmony or counterpoint).  Jazz and swing use syncopation, more complex rhythms and varied tones from different instruments and all these things create interest.  If you close your eyes and sing, or listen to music you will see shapes according to the sound. I’ve never seen static squares to Gershwin’s ’summertime’.  Sound comes out of holes in instruments too.  And they aren’t usually square holes.

I mean can you imagine any self-respecting cat bothering itself with squaring circles?

But before we condemn all squares, it is important to remember the ying and yang.  Where does the light come from? It doesn’t come from light does it?

The basic form of the square is integral to the beauty of Hindu temple architecture.   This square repeats and repeats in one continuous form. It’s obvious that Hindu architects of the Vedic tradition knew their sacred geometry.

The origin of the Vedic square mandala lies in seeing the square as representation of the divine form.  That is because it symbolises inertia, stability and presumably dependability.  Brahma was at centre and other Gods relegated to outer positions in the square. The square was shown to accommodate a yogic form

Leonardo Da Vinci , influenced by the Roman architect Virtruvius, also represented the human figure as the basic proportional measure, But in a circle.

The circle in Vedic tradition represented the world or the cosmic egg.  The problem of squaring the circle for them is one of equating the earth and sky altars. So it is a cosmic problem. It is not something that can therefore be tackled in just two or three dimensions.

So this is most likely why we can only approximate to the unsatisfactory Pi value.  I believe it is because for Pi to resolve and for a square to have exactly the same area as a circle, you would need to divide the circumference of the circle into the smallest possible parts in order to measure it as tiny straight lines.  Here lies the crux of the issue. There are no bits of truly straight line in a circle unless you literally divide it into points.  But a point  on a line has no measurable length in geometry  and therefore there is nothing to measure. Going smaller (dividing within the point), we then go into micro measurements, and eventually the world of atoms with fuzzy edges which lies in the realm of quantum physics and invisibility which is not helpful in trying to measure a visible polygon. At that level the ruler itself and the act of measuring interferes with the calculations and you never get a truly objective result. 

The real issue with trying to force Norma to be a circle is that ……  she is not.

There is still a debate as to whether the Great Pyramid of Giza ‘squares the circle’. An imaginary circle drawn with a radius that is the height of the pyramid does have a circumference approximate to the perimeter of the base and if you divide the base perimeter by the height you get very close to 2 pi.  But the Greek pi does not accurately square the circle. It is a mere approximation.  Similar results could be got by just dividing 22 by 7.  And the Egyptians were well versed in the correspondence between harmony and measure. Seven embodied growth and harmony. Seshat (meaning 7) was the female counterpart of Thoth as Mistress of Measure. The Egyptian cubit had 7 palms each with four fingers and the gradient( seked)  was worked out by how many palms in length along the base of a pyramid were used for each cubit of vertical. Egyptian art and architecture did use a grid of 22 squares in the late kingdom, but previously ancient Egyptians used a grid of 19 squares for their architecture. For them everything is process and relationship.  Numbers to them (neters) were living entities, actually gods. They were functions, not fixed immutable values.  Nothing in ancient Egypt was considered separate from the whole which is why their fractions could not have more than 1 as a numerator (apart from 2/3 which was considered an integral part of the whole). 

Schwaller de Lubicz did in depth studies of Egyptian mathematics and their techniques of using 19 squares (as did the Mayans). He doesn’t come up with a reason for the choice of 19, but I myself have come up with a theory. I believe it may have been due to movements of the moon.  The Egyptians used proportion in their art based on ratio of 18:19.  There is an 18.6 year moon cycle between lunar standstills and the moon ends up in the same position from our perspective every 19 years. In the present time we are just about at lunar standstill in this cycle which is due 2024/5, which is an indicator that the fiat financial collapse is coming soon. Egyptian architecture was based on an understanding of the importance of these cycles. So 18 divided by 19 may have been important in Egyptian harmonics and building due to an attempt to mirror the moon on its 18.6 year cycle. 

The Great pyramid is, regardless, an incredibly impressive scale model of earth, built with knowledge of both the dimensions of the earth and the movements of the stars and planets. Robert Bauval theorised that the Giza pyramids have a correlation with the three stars of Orion’s belt. It is interesting that the layout of the pyramids at Teotihuacan in Mexico also seem to correspond to Orion’s belt.  Although it is not certain who built those pyramids, the Mayans also used a grid of 19 squares for their buildings.  This is not coincidence. 

Man will probably carry on trying to square the circle, willing that Pi value to stop spilling out endless decimal places. The more so, now he’s got digital toys to play with. Norma is his ideal woman. She who spills out the edges will just have to be stuffed in, coz one size fits all.

WHO REALLY WAS THE PIED PIPER OF HAMLIN?

With his colourful suit , appearing like the joker in a card deck, the Pied Piper is an archetype etched in our consciousness. His legacy has meant that today he is a metaphor for any false prophets and ‘time to pay the piper’ is another way of saying that you the hour has come to settle your spiritual debts.  

 The legend of the Pied Piper is a dark, mysterious tale and is attached to what appears to be a real event in history that occurred in Hamlin (Hameln), Lower Saxony, in Germany on  26th June 1284. (Day of John and Paul). The earliest account known is a version of the story etched on a beam on a wall of the ‘Rattenfangerhaus’, which is on the site of the medieval East gate of Hamelin. 

This describes the following:

‘In the year 1284 on the day of John and Paul, the 26th June, 130 children born in Hamelin were led away by a piper dressed in many-coloured clothes to Calvary close to the Koppen and were there lost’

So the story goes, the piper led the children through the medieval east gate of Hamelin and to their fate.  

By the 16th Century we have rats entering the equation and the pipe playing trickster sometimes portrayed as a devil. In 1565  an account written by Count Frozen Christoph von Zimmern describes a miracle of God whereby a stranger agreed to rid the town of rats for a fee and when he is not paid in return he leads the children to the mountainside where a portal appears and they vanish forever.  Around the same time Johannes Weier identifies the piper as a ‘blood-sucking demon’.

In a 1557 account by Hans Zeitlos, on reaching the hill at ‘Calvary’ two naked children get left behind, one deaf and one dumb. This piper claimed he would return after 300 years. This is a reference to a second coming, and 300 could be a covert reference to a 30 percent slice of the circle of the great year which equals 2160 years and is the time usually counted as one age or eon.

Other accounts have the children being led by the piper to drown in a river and/or one or two children  left behind.  One account has one lame child left behind. In Leviticus 21 (v23) there is a possible reference to disability. It states:

‘ but he shall not go through the veil or approach the altar because he has blemish; that he may not profane my sanctuaries’

Hameln lies along the Weser River. It was a market town and dependent on the Abbey of Fulda until 1259. The town was founded by Benedictine monks from Fulda in 851 AD around the Abbey of St. Boniface.   Benedictine monks were known as ‘black monks’ and wore black robes. The Coat of Arms of the Fulda abbey had a black cross on a white background and some of the Fulda monks were no doubt members of the

Teutonic Knights secret order which has similar monastic military roots as the Knights Templar. Black and white is the original meaning of ‘pied’, hence ‘mag ..pie’.  Or ‘pie ..bald’ pony. Pied could be just be a reference to dark and light.

 Hameln passed into the hands of the Dukes of Brunswick and became a member of the Hanseatic League, a powerful and influential trade guild. The house of Brunswick is what we now know as the House of Hanover, i.e. the house of Queen Victoria. It seems the Pied Piper might have been a pedigree piper. And with that in mind it is tempting to go further back into history to look for the origin of this folk tale.  Countless children have perished throughout history, so why are the children of Hameln so special and why is the loss of the mothers of Hameln something that we are all supposed to grieve? 

Looking back to the year 807, in the town of Fulda whose monks first founded Hameln,  an epidemic is supposed to have claimed much of that town’s population.  The third abbot of Fulda at that time was a monk called ‘Ratgar’. He was carrying out construction on a new church.  Clearly he was not liked and although many excuses are given for this, it seems the main reason may have been connected with the Synods of Aachen (816-819)  which drastically reformed the Benedictine orders and brought them much more under imperial control.  Obedience to this revised Benedictine rule now became central for all the orders. Ratgar was opposed to all the property of the Abbey being made  public. The reigning Carolingian dynasty was attempting through their reforms to get hold of ‘episcopal states’ of which the Frankish Bishops had previously assumed control.  Ratgar’s attempts to keep property in the hands of his monastery and out of the hands of the ruling dynasty was probably the real reason he was eventually exiled by Louis the Pious (son of Charlemagne). 

Could Ratgar have been the ‘rats’ that were driven out?  Could this incident have a connection with the myth of the Pied Piper? Could Louis the Pious be the Pied Piper? Louis is depicted as a Soldier of Christ with a red shield, red hair , red tunic with green robe and large red cross. Something seems a little Khazarian here.

And Martian.

The Midsummer Pagan festival of course  could, instead, be the guilty party here.  Near to Hameln was a place called Coppenbrugge and a hill there could be what the ‘Koppen’ refers to. According to Julian Scutts, in his book ‘The Pied Piper of Hamlin’, Nikolai von Spiegelberg took up residence at Coppenbrugge and could be associated with the piper. He and his two brothers wanted to suppress heathen or heretical rites from being performed on the Koppanberg (a rocky elevation) nearby. Julian Scutts also finds a possible Piper references in Shakespeare’s Richard III.  There are similarities between the legendary piper and the pagan God Pan of course.  Pan is a Satyr and a figure associated with fertility, music and wine.  There are also numerous reports of crazy  and mysterious dancing ‘plagues’ occurring in the middle ages.

It is possible that those afflicted by this dance fever had ingested ergot, the mould on damp rye which is a psychedelic substance and poison. Some people believe this dance affliction is the origin of the pied piper myth,  but this would not be likely to be confined to just children or young people, since both old and young would eat bread (or drink alcohol) made with rye. Although this could have been some kind of ‘play that funky music medieval boy’ excuse for an orgy, the concept of Calvary is more typically symbolic for the equinoxes  when the sun ecliptic path crosses over the celestial equator.  Or it could be symbolic of the winter solstice as according to Peter Joseph, the sun hangs around the southern cross (crux) constellation for the three days  at the winter solstice (effectively dying and rising again on the cross).

Films are littered with piper themes. The Child catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is an interesting piper type figure.  When he tempts the children into his wheeled cage, the symbolism is literally screaming out at you.  There are sunflowers, symbolising Leo , purple diamond shapes, alternating light and dark and more purple and white striped canvas.  Purple is the colour of royalty which derives originally from the power of the menses ‘blood of purple hue’. Diamonds are the jewel of Taurus. There is a joker/court jester on the side of the cage between two pillars and when the child catcher sets off with his haul, the pillars which cover two corners of the vehicle collapse and the whole external cover of the vehicle comes off so just the bars of the cage are now visible with the children inside. This seems like collapse of the temple into manifestation. Revelation begun again.

Fagin in Oliver Twist is a piper archetypal character too.  He is both God and demon to the waif and strays he collects.

An alternative possibility for the origins of the pied piper could be a reference to a guy called Nicholas of Cologne.  He led children or young people in poverty (known as pueri) on crusades to take Israel back from the muslims in 1212.  A call to arms. He and his followers used the symbol of a Tau cross, a living T-cross, as depicted in the hanged man of the tarot.  It’s 1212 and the hanged man happens to be key XII. Nothing to see here.

The tau cross was used by Francis of Assisi as a symbol of salvation. It happens to be the same imagery as the Hebrew letter ‘zayin’, which is the seventh letter in the Hebrew script.

Zayin is ‘G’ in roman script. Possibly the G on the masonic square and compass.

We don’t have to confine the pied piper in a western straight jacket. Chinese sinful monsters were punished for the sin of upsetting the calendar. One Chinese myth involves a green ox  or one-legged dragon like creature  of the Eastern Sea, known as K’uei, who was made ‘master of music ‘ by Emperor Shun. The legendary Yellow Emperor had also used this beast’s his skin to make a drum to invoke wind and rain.   K’uei was both Master of the Dance and Master of the Forge in true shamanic style. The creature was brought to court because only he could bring into harmony the six pipes and the seven modes. Shun also made sacrifices to ‘six honoured ones’. He could cause the ‘100 animals to dance’ by touching the musical stone and helped ‘regulate the rivers’. Emperor Shun was of the Confucian school of thought and the 100 animals likely refers to the ‘hundred schools of thought ‘ (zhuzi baijia) prevalent in ancient China. Sixes and sevens is a phrase in the west which means a state of confusion.  Do they really mean a state of confucianism?

Six is the first perfect number to the pythagoreans. The hexagram known as K’uei in the I Ching signifies ‘opposites’ and in the field of music, for tuning there were six yang (pitch) pipes (male) and six yin pipes (female). This must correspond with six lines (Yang old or young) and Yin (old or young) in each hexagram of the I ching and both the I ching and the sex magic of the Taoists are alchemical processes. The Chinese character 7 also looks like a cross and is called ‘qi’ … known in the west as chi

which means the breath/life force. The character 6 is liu which means battle-axe or slaugher/death. 

If you imagine Liu superimposed on Qi you will get a kind of human figure with a tail. Opposites , Qi and Lui, 7 and 6 are just waiting to be reunited.

But it seems resolution is only obtained by paying the piper.  Up till then there remains a state of tension. When we mere mortals attempt to resolve issues by striking a bargain, we merely create a new tension. A new debt is born, time and time again, until we hand it all over. Any attempts at holding onto that little stash for a rainy day keeps the tension going. This echoes the stages of grief which can involve denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance .

Is it possible that the pied piper is really about the lost ‘children of Israel’?  If we count 13 tribes, then that would be represented by 130 children, because number symbolism in sacred geometry works the same regardless of whether  any number is in 10s, 100s or 1000s or more. Remember that in some versions of the Piper story , two children are left behind perhaps hinting at the 2 tribes of Judah and Benjamin. That would leave 10 tribes lost plus the mystery 13th tribe. And it would mean the Pied Piper represents the Assyrians who conquered the Northern kingdom. The ‘children’ were lost on a hill or mountain (koppen) and in astrology high places indicate North (the pole star).

Joseph was of course given an ‘amazing technicolour dreamcoat' and the story of Joseph in Genesis, in relation to Potiphar’s wife, is partly based on an Egyptian myth called ‘The Tale of Two Brothers’ which describes  one brother as married (not particularly happily) and the other spending his time in the field ploughing oxen.   The married brother has a jealous wife who uses deceit to cause a rift between the brothers. This rift becomes a river full of crocodiles. A metaphor for the subconscious.  The ‘K’uei rears its beastly head. It is important to remember that the day of the supposed abduction in Hamlen was the ‘day of John and Paul, the martyrs. They were eunuchs for Constantine’s daughter. And Joseph is to some a gay icon. And he was the archetypal scapegoat. The scapegoat is always the beast through which man sees his own demons. Those naked souls whom he blames for his own layers of masks behind which he hides.

The concept of a ‘coat of many colours’ could also be meant to indicate a changeling.  Or a deceptive force.  The pied piper has been depicted as both God and Satan.  And perhaps he is both. God works in mysterious ways and Satan comes in many guises. Temptation rears its ugly head in many forms.  Is there really no choice but in the end to pay for your ‘sins’?

Our biggest adversary is our own inner demons. 

Ultimately passing through the Eastern Gate of Hamelin means the piper is moving us into a new age . The old faces judgement and renewal begins. It is not the young that are losing out in this story, it is the old. They face the loss.  As written in Matthew 2 v.18

‘A voice is heard in Ramah

weeping and great mourning

Rachel weeping for her children

and refusing to be comforted

because they are no more’

The piper is playing the tune that you have no choice but to dance to. It is a tune of time and that is emotion itself. And emotion is the door of magic. The ups and downs we feel, the ebbs and flows, the peaks and troughs, they provide the keys. Dance or die, that’s it. The colourful clothes of the piper are merely the many shades that he comes in. The green of spring, summer yellows, autumn golds, winter greys. And as the solar energy provides our warmth, our fuel and our harvest to feed our children, so, when the day is done, and the crumbs swept under the table, we are obliged to write the cheque payable to the life-giving sun in return. And the piper calls the tune once more and the children return as fuel to the stars.

Bohemian Rhapsody hit the top of the charts for 9 weeks in the winter of 1975.  It was impressive.   I still know the lyrics by heart and have often wondered what they really meant. So I am going to outline what I believe Freddie meant by those lyrics.

Freddie, whose real name was Farrokh Bulsara, was of Parsi heritage.  So originally his family would have Persian roots.  They lived in Gujarat, western India.  Later they moved to Zanzibar. Farrokh’s religion was Zoroastrian.   He was a Virgo,  which may have something to do with why the band was called ‘Queen’.  His chosen name of Mercury is almost certainly due to it being the planet which rules Virgo. The Zoroastrian religion is steeped in astrology and Freddie took his faith’s heritage seriously.  It was foremost in his mind when he wrote Bohemian Rhapsody.

Bohemian Rhapsody means an unconventional ecstatic state or epic poem/song.  The word ‘rhapsody’ is derived originally from a Greek word meaning to stitch or sew (rhapsoidia). This could have come from the Proto Indo European word ‘werb’ which means to bend or turn and Oide (ode or song).   This is related to the concept of weave/web. The web of existence. In Norse mythology there is the ‘web of wyrd’ denoting the interconnectedness of past, present and future . Time itself.

Freddie starts Bohemian Rhapsody by questioning reality. In 4/4 time signature.

‘Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?’ 

In the next line he refers to time and the inevitable change that comes with it

‘caught in a landslide, no escape from reality’ …

Then he is stating ‘wake up’.  Remember, As Above So Below.

Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see 

Next he identifies as a poor boy due to having no passions, being indifferent , bending with the wind, any direction. He is malleable.

I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy

Because I'm easy come, easy go, little high, little low

Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to me, to me

The above lines could be a metaphor for the average human. There also could be alluding to an ancient Persian wind God called Vayu. Sufi mystics such as Rumi placed great importance on the concept of wind, perhaps being ‘breath’. Some Yashts ( hymns) of the Avestas place Vay above Ahura Mazda (pure light).

Freddie goes on to speak to ‘mama’ to confess some kind of spiritual death.

Mama, just killed a man

Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, now he's dead

Mama, life had just begun

But now I've gone and thrown it all away

He makes it known to mama that she is human and that she should just carry on in ignorance

Mama, ooh ooh ooh, didn't mean to make you cry

If I'm not back again this time tomorrow

Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters

He says goodbye.  He refers to spinal fluid or ‘kundalini’ energy

Too late, my time has come

Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all the time

Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go

Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth

He mourns his old self, and voices regret:

Mama, ooh ooh (any way the wind blows)

I don't wanna die

But its a double edged sword. Maybe he doesn’t want his earthly life either

I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all

Now the track changes, speeding up, I think in 12/8

He now faces his own inadequacies. 

I see a little silhouetto of a man

then he calls out to ‘scaramouche'  asking him if he is up for this

Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?

Scaramouche was a character from the Italian 16/17th century Commedia dell’arte tradition of theatre. This was exaggerated theatre with masked players.  Scaramouch represented originally the archetype braggart solider and later an unreliable but comic servant. A modern equivalent might be the spanish waiter Manuel from Faulty Towers.  The Napolese actor most associated with the scaramouch role went unmasked.

This could be The Fool in the Tarot, about to step out on the journey of faith. To face the hurricane. 

Fandango is a dance of Moorish origins,  accompanied by castanets and tambourines, which tends to get faster as it progresses and switch between major and minor keys. One form of the Fandango involves two men gearing up to challenge each other.  This is the fool’s journey. The struggle.

Then he reaches a crescendo, implying that fear of oneself is the greatest fear.  The only way the following line makes sense is if the object referred to as ‘me’ is actually Freddie.

Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening me

‘Then there is a reference to Leo. The Golden Age. Leo is the actual age where true Adepts believe the sun is really entering at present, transitioning from Virgo ( in contrast with where the Sun appears to be from Earth’s perspective which is transitioning from Pisces to Aquarius).  This may also have a reference to Freddie’s bandmates John Deacon and Roger Taylor who were both Leo.……….

Gali -Leo .  Gali comes from Hebrew ‘galal’ or ‘gil’ which means a whirling/rolling or circular movement of a kind.  We now get echoes in the track.

(Galileo) Galileo, (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro, magnifico o  …

Figaro (from the Marriage of Figaro) symbolises a barber. And a poor servant. And is also a Scaramouche type character. A clever but annoying servant. The cutting of hair is highly symbolic in esoteric tradition and masonry.  As in the story of Samson and Delilah it symbolises the crashing down of the temple pillars. This again is regeneration, renewal. 

But I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me

He's just a poor boy from a poor family

Spare him his life from this monstrosity

Freddie then asks if   ‘easy come , easy go’ can let him go. i e.  can the demons/djinn/daevas let him go.  Bismillah means ‘In the name of Allah.

Easy come, easy go, will you let me go?

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ   Bismillah

No, we will not let you go (let him go)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ   Bismillah

Then he is pleading with his mother (super ego) to let him go. 

Oh, mama mia, mama mia

mama mia, let me go

He then refers to the Lord  of flies, God of Ekron, Beelzebub .  This  might have been a reference to Jesus, as in the book of Mark ch.3: 22 ‘he is possessed by Beezlebul - by the Prince of demons he casts out demons’

Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me.

The devil or evil spirit representation in Zoroastrian faith is Ahriman.

Then the lyrics suggest perhaps anger

with Jesus, perhaps he is Judas. ‘Stone me’ could mean ‘getting me stoned’ (ie on plants).   Jesus spitting in eye means healing, restoring sight.

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye?

So you think you can love me and leave me to die?

Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby

Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here

In Gurdjieff’s classic tale ‘Beezlebub’s Tales to his Grandson’, Judas is not the evil traitor, but rather a saviour character. Freddie Mercury may have seen the light in Judas too. Brian May’s star sign happens to be cancer and Judas is also linked with the cancer constellation.

The end seems to be a reference to either a state of calm , the storm over,  nothing matters, a kind of buddhist acceptance.  Or alternatively has he given up and gone back to being a normal human? Is he going to carry on just like ‘mama’.  I guess we may never know

My feeling is that Freddie was describing one big breath, in and out. ‘The Word’.

After an accident in April 2016 when I had a nasty fall from a ledge onto pebbled beach on Plymouth Hoe, I was stuck on crutches for over a year and in severe pain which ultimately became chronic. I found myself messing about with different timbres and frequencies in the hope for some relief from this pain, as I had heard that 41.20 hz (low E1 on piano) was effective for pain but when this didn’t work for me I tried various other notes and combinations of frequencies.

I didn’t find anything that worked so I forgot about it for a while until I was looking up at the clouds and saw some numbers floating amongst them. One number stood out. 713. When I got home I wrote this number down knowing that it was a sign. I had a hunch that this could relate to a particular frequency that the universe was giving me. I looked up a list of notes with their frequencies and found that D flat 0 (on piano) is 17.32 hz. It contained all the digits of 713 although in different order. Also D1 is 36.71 hz and D flat 4 was 277.183 and both those notes contain those three digits too. When I translated them into music something happened which I hadn’t expected.

Since my early twenties I had been plagued by entities from another dimension and when I began playing the new notes these demons were getting aggravated. They began to complain about the sound and when I hit a particular combination of notes one of them began to shriek loudly as if he himself was in pain. I stopped and left it alone for a while because it was too distressing. A few weeks later I tried again, wondering if the shrieking was because I had hit on a helpful note, because the demons did not want me to get relief from pain. As the shrieking got louder I kept thumping down on the notes using alternatively a chime bowl and an acoustic piano. After five minutes or so of excruciating noise and protest from the demons they made a kind of whimpering noise and disappeared into the background. The next day I tried the same combination of notes and the demons only shrieked for less than a minute before they shut up. Instead of finding a cure for my physical pain I had found a kind of excommunication for the voices. I’d got rid of them.

These demons are very real. Yet I have been sectioned under the Mental Health Act numerous times for psychosis and medicated against my will. As a young child I was frightened by visions of human-sized black crows which resembled choughs with pink beaks and feet. Then in my teens too much LSD usage had led to a door opening in my mind. I started seeing snakes and during one episode my whole surroundings became a swamp of serpents which I could feel crawling over me, sending my terror off the scale. Later in my twenties I began to hear voices making vile and vindictive comments. These beings claimed they were from the same dimension as the huge chough-like crows that had visited me as a child. At times they attempted to suck me into their dimension. Then there was this silhouette of a man who kept appearing out of nowhere, usually crouching by my side. It scared me shitless. More than likely a shadow being.

I was eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia and spent many years forcibly medicated. But schizophrenia is a nonsense diagnosis invented by psychiatrists who regurgitate the chemical imbalance myth. The medical profession refuse to entertain the fact that demons actually exist. Not surprising. Their training is dominated by the pharma industry which originally grew from the Rockefeller petroleum business which pushed the myth of chemical imbalance being the root of mental illness in order to market its drugs. But these drugs have nasty side effects which include such pleasant experiences as permanent chronic constipation, massive weight gain, parkinson-like symptoms, perpetual dribbling and ultimately brain damage. So when I found that I could create musical tones which strangled the voices it was a godsend. I soon found I could manage without the chemicals and there was zero grief in kissing goodbye my bloated rock-hard stomach.

There are very few professionals who work in the mental health field who have enough understanding to challenge the medical model. Jerry Marzinsky, an american psychotherapist from Arizona is one of them. After thirty years working with so called ‘schizophrenics’ in hospitals and prisons, Jerry became convinced that the voices are those of real entities or shadow beings, feeding off their victims’ energy.

When I wrote to Jerry about my musical discovery, he came back to me saying his research had uncovered that the beings hate certain frequencies. Jerry had found that the voices had fixed repeated patterns which would not fit in with the random nature of hallucinations. The messages were coherent and structured and common to all those he worked with. He even experienced crackling phenomena caused by these beings himself, whilst interviewing an inmate. The demons were angry and trying to target him too. He became convinced that the demons have an intent which is separate to that of their victims.

Jerry was, of course, ignored by the establishment. Psychiatry makes the assumption that our thoughts belong to us as individuals, but that has never been proven, nor has their claim of ‘chemical imbalance’. I knew that thoughts were being planted in my head and have experienced thinking the thoughts ‘out there’ all around me. It may be that the mind is some kind of receiver, or not located within us at all. In everyday language we still talk of exorcising our demons yet we have ceased to believe in the demons as anything other than metaphor. But the old practice of exorcising ‘evil spirits’ was done because it was necessary and had been shown to work. The beings detest particular passages from the bible particularly Psalm 23 and the Lord’s Prayer and Jerry’s research highlights this

The swamp needs draining. What is happening now is not accidental. Those putting out the media propaganda, lies and negative messages appear to be possessed by this same dark energy and the messages they are sending out are eerily similar to the negative undertones of the voices in ‘schizophrenia’. Stay indoors … isolate … he’s infected … she’s selfish, useless, non-essential ... the neighbours are watching you ... mustn’t hug granny, you’ll kill her ….

The majority are now, like ‘schizophrenics’, following fear-laden and pointless commands like follow the arrows. And the solution of course is sold as the shots, shots and more shots to keep you well. But then ‘it’s just a little jab...’ (as Dolly Parton reminded us.)

The shadowy drug pushing psycopaths are offering us a ‘quick fix’ after having engineered mass hypnosis. Those who believe their vile messaging are buying into the voices. Those who act on those voices are effectively, by psychiatry’s own definiton, ‘psychotic’. Perhaps there is a way that musical frequencies can help these people as they helped me, by shutting off the voices of the demon media and blasting these people out of their stupor..
