I’ve got a question regarding two of the babies in the Letby case, baby C and baby E.
Before I start I need to clarify something.
Dewi Evans says that all of us who doubt Lucy’s conviction are Trump supporters and climate deniers. Just to clarify for Dewi’s sake:
1) I am not a Trump supporter, nor a supporter of Kamala Harris nor of any other lying, cheating, fake or bot U.S. or British politician. I’m an anarchist. I don’t do political party control freak shit.
2) I do not deny the existence of climate. The climate does exist. The climate also does change, it has always changed since time immemorial and it always will regardless of anything man does or doesn’t do. If Dewi wonders why I don’t take notice of little soundbites like …
hottest day since records began
… that’s because records only began 200 years ago and man has been on earth at least 100 thousand years and probably a lot longer. So since records began is not even a micro bat of a pregnant flea’s eyelid in the grand halls of time. And it’s also because I am not particularly interested in the runway ground temperature at Heathrow airport, when there are plenty of more comfortable cooler places to go. Oh yeh and lastly, computer models which spew out the worst possible case scenario out of thousands of other far more likely perfectly okay scenarios remind me of my mother’s instructions on a night out, designed to turn you into a quivering wreck before you’ve even started. No thanks, I’m a grown up now.
And Dewi I don’t assume that all those who are wedded to Lucy being guilty are nonces or sheep shaggers. Even though your party Plaid Cymru seems to be littered with them ..
Plaid Cymru paedophile problem
Hope that clarifies things.
Now to the point. There was a thematic review of Neonatal mortality in COCH for 2015 to Jan 2016 and on reading through it, I noticed that it mentioned the drug Ranitidine as being potentially problematic. Ranitidine (widely known as brand name Zantac) causes an increase risk of infection in neonates. It has been withdrawn form the US market altogether as of 2020. It can cause thrombocytopenia in neonates and there is an ongoing investigation of a chemical contaminant in it known as NDMA which has been used to make rocket fuel amongst other things. FDA notice for withdrawal of all ranitidine products The U.K. followed suit in 2021 ranitidine withdrawal UK
Ranitidine is commonly used to reduce stomach acid and for ulcers but stomach acid is needed in order to digest food, so I would assume that long term use or high amounts could cause problems in adults, and it would take much smaller doses to produce negative effects in neonates.
Baby C and Baby E were given ranitidine. Baby C had heart and lung issues . Raised lactate and infection markers, bile stained aspirates and was given a drain to draw out black bile from the stomach. There was delayed cord clamping. The bowels of this baby never opened. Cause of death is unclear. However Dewi Evans claimed an xray showed evidence that Lucy had caused air embolism by forcing air down a naso- gastric tube or injecting air or apparently both, just to cover all sides. Only problem with this is that Lucy hadn’t been on duty prior to the xray being taken and had never met the Baby she was supposed to have been murdering. Despite this the prosecution, not troubled by such tedious things as facts, continued grooming the jury and Lucy was found guilty. Gotta be pins and voodoo dolls then.
It seems Baby C’s umbilical catheter, used to administer food and medicine, had come out on the morning when the xray was taken . Maybe that contributed to the death. And what about ranitidine? Baby C was premature . Under 800 g or 1lb 12 ozs. Any ranitidine would have had an enhanced effect on such a tiny baby.
Baby E, another baby that Lucy is supposed to have injected with air, was one of a set of premature twin boys. Baby E had a haemorrhage – large amount of gastric blood were lost and the cause of death was necrotising enterocolitis.
Ranitidine can cause necrotising enterocolitis and this paper demonstrates a significantly higher morbidity and mortality rate in babies given Ranitidine.
Dr. Harkness statement showed that he noticed purple patches (purpura) on the baby E’s body. I am wondering if this could have been thrombocytopenia which apparently can be caused by ranitidine in neonates.. This article shows that it causes purpura.

I don’t claim to be a medic, I am just asking questions. The thematic review shows that Actions were marked down for Baby C such as
‘confirm policy on cord clamping’
‘UVC policy’,
ranitidine in pre-term babies, revise guidance due to evidence
and for Baby E the Actions to be taken were:
confirm policy on cord clamping
Ranitidine in pre-term babies, revise guidance based on evidence.
This house of cards is built on foundations of sand and it toppled long ago. No excuses left. No more delays. |Life is short. Get Lucy her appeal now.
There are now several YouTube channels and substack writers (including me) expressing Reasonable Doubt about this case. It's now Wednesday 4th February and I think we will get LL's lawyer's team of experts reporting today?
