Also, it's a strange thing saying 'good morning' in England. In Spain its so normal to greet everyone as you pass, in a village at least. Maybe not big towns.

Amazing writing Cally. One minute really funny, the next raw as hell. You're taking us on a roller coaster -your painful roller coaster. I hope it's a cathartic and healing journey for you. Xx

thanks for reading Ness ... the idea of me writing it was really is not about loneliness as some people have assumed (since I am not lonely because I am a loner - I naturally prefer to be alone) . The idea of the books was to illustrate where social isolation can take you and its consequences - largely because this is an increasing issue worldwide, but especially in the west, due to internet, and I have heard many young people say they are fine with never seeing anyone ... what they don't realise is that that is okay in the short term but in the long term, man is not an island and the effects are very damaging ... .

When I find , usually elderly people shopping alone , I often smile at them. sometimes they will return the gesture, some just look puzzled by my acknowledgment that they exist.

The most profound experience of alienation must affect those who are incarcerated for years following a miscarriage of justice. In such cases there is always considerable doubt and I find it bewildering that some do not empathise with the sheer horror that wrongly convicted people must encounter each day/night. And the same applies to others who find themselves in less than ideal, often isolating circumstances.

Yes I agree 100 percent and it frustrates me too that many people aren't bothered about that but it is the authority thing they trust authority so they trust the courts

I think that some people are of the opinion that nothing can be done about it and that any attempts are futile. All it takes for evil to persist is for good "men" to do nothing ( words to that effect ).

I am about to humanely trap a little mouse who has found its way into our hallway. The trap is transparent and ,,if captured, he/she will be visible. Until I release the mouse there will be no further "damage" in the house, no contamination and no sound (not even the quietest squeak). There will be food in the trap. Once freed into the garden he might tell of his adventure to his family and I shall have no concerns because no one understands the language. But if it was , in different terms of imprisonment one might have concerns regarding opening the gates to freedom and maintaining control might appear to be the preferred option.
